How we model COVID-19

In this post we look at how we can model COVID-19 using simple SIR models. We try to understand how different policy responses lead to different outcomes for public health. We also consider what COVID-19 might look like in the long term (in Australia) and sharpen our skills in ordinary differential equations, python, numpy and matplotlib
